Checkin out Hialeah today

I am actually going down to Hialeah today out of curiosity to see what it looks like now. I thought I was also going to handicap a few of the quarter horse races until I looked at the first race and the 8/5 favorite is a 7 yo who has not run in 3 1/2 years. Ugh! Any q horse tips? (Besides dont bet)

They have an article on QH handicapping. Jimmy Bradshaw told me to always bet on horses that gained lengths from the stretch to the finish(or at least didn't lose lengths from the strech to the finish) in the last 2 races.

Bet the inside post on 870 and 1000 yard races.

tip# 1 don't look at morning line

tip# 2 don't bet a lot, the pools are microscopic with many consos in DD and P3 pools

have fun

just to report it was like a blast from the past going down there again, best parts seeing the old place, the nostalgic statues and flight of the flamingos, eating some cuban food. I would put the attendance at about 200 who were mostly the trainers, grooms and owners of the horses. short fields and small pools. they obviously waiting for each step of adding the poker room, then simulcasting and down the road thoroughbreds and slots

W/D,

Thanks! If that's the way The Hat said to bet the Quarters, then it's advice worth taking.
