Inez Karlsson heading to Tampa Bay

Karlsson will move her tack to Tampa Bay Downs this winter. She's been a topic of discussion on this site and it will be interesting to see how she does.

Coach Pants 11-13-2009 06:59 PM

She might be top 3 down there.

Rosemary Homeister's boyfriend is the top owner there so she'll get her share of live mounts. Last year Jamie Ness started using riders other than Centeno so Danny might come back to pack. I can see Karlsson right in the mix.

He lobbed such a softball to us, but since he is a new dad and all, I didn't have the heart to knock it out of the park.

I can't wait to hear that again. :)

I was just looking at Honey Honey Honey who is running in Calder's 8th tomorrow. Exacta Bob had that horse in the '07 Inaugural at Tampa at 38-1 and I can just about promise you he said exactly that ^^^^^ then.

we let him take his time off to have a family but he knew when the Tampa meet starts, no excuse not to be in shape, and there is especially no excuse for you to be having a child during the season, tampa bay downs season that is. We give you from may-november to "make it happen" outside those dates its tampa time. Rule #76 no excuses play like a champion

i hope he never rides another Dee Tee horse. KNS worst two runs came with DC aboard.

Tampa Bay meet will not be easy. Karlsson will have to compete against Centeno, Homeister and rest of the top jocks from Tampa last year, as well as Ricky Frazier, apprentice Faith Schorr and possibly shipping from the east coast of Florida, Manoel Cruz and apprentice Luis Saez. Plus I'm sure there might be others that could show up if Mountaineer does close for 2 months or Turfway jocks that don't want to ride the 3 day a week schedule till March.

Coach Pants 11-15-2009 06:46 PM

Yeah she could end up winning the riding title. When you put a midget helmet and baby goggles on her you can't tell if she's a woman or a man so she'll definitely intimidate the other pinheads.

MISTERGEE 11-16-2009 06:05 PM

whats the name of that infamous jock at tbd that is usually 0 for 100 every year?
