Had you left out the "QH racing at Hialeah: like" part ... you would have authored an all-time great thread title that just shouts 'Read Me!'

Yeah, me and my idiotic typos.

So let's say...every single one of my old flames are whores, not of the meth variety, but I also knew they were whores at the time, and that was probably part of the reason I was with them and 100% of the reason they were with me. Where do I fit in?

With no simulcasting or ADWs, the handle is going to be next to nothing there, probably like what you would find at a track in the islands or the Saratoga harness track.

Is that true? I don't remember reading anywhere that they weren't going to be allowed to send their signal.

Hey look, at least they didn't bulldoze the place. Maybe, over time, if somebody can buy the track from the current ownership, we can get that place back up to speed.

Tracks that are still standing can be resurrected. Those knocked down and their land carved up are history of course, like Garden State Park, Bay Meadows and many others. We all know that, and that's the first and most severe fight to wage.

I'd like to see somebody bring back Atlantic City Race Course (someday).

I say we need to level more of them......

I think there's a word for that, a "John."

La Mesa Park in Raton,New Mexico is being rebuilt after being torn down many, many, many years ago.

That's good, but I guess I was thinking more of here in the Northeast where land is a premium. Out west where there is more land there are more options for putting something with as large a footprint as a racetrack.

You can always count on one thing at Hialeah with that owner even if its q-horses. The highest takeout possible!

Uh, no. The whole thing is a pretext to get a casino in Hialeah. All it will serve to do is damage the casino about to open at Calder, where they still race horses.
