It is interesting...there is a major disconnect that has to be addressed to make it equitable for all.....I don't know how we could afford to have everyone covered...there aren't enough doctors for one thing.
And if we have these problems seen easily now....why rush through a monster bill basically unseen by anyone but the writers of said bill?

that's all I'm sayin

In my town my neighbors (friends) would put a fire out at my house as we're a volunteer department supported by donations. Never was worried about the white trash as we take all ours out to the street and our private garbage service picks them up. And you know it works in a bi-partisian way as we have our fair share of liberals (and Packer fans). Three cops patrol the entire town and we have none on the street after 11pm on Sunday till 6am Monday. Virtually no crime (plenty of residents do have guns) and all eyes are on the two muslim families new to the neighborhood for signs of terrorism or little girl gelding. No need for CIA, FBI, stimulous, or homeland defense funds yet we are the highest taxed county per capita in Wisconsin and by far the highest when farms are not included. We have plenty who pay more than 25k/year in property taxes in addition to their income/business taxes and some live here part time and repeat the process at their winter homes. By the way we who remain in the winter watch over the properties of those who are not w/o the government's help. It works fine and is VERY COST EFFECTIVE. Also a private company built our electrical grids and provides service for a substantial fee. Schools we haven't figured out yet but are thinking of ways to rid the town of those pests known as children. So we're trying. Oh and we do have well water and a large lake that is cleaner today than it was 40 years ago. Guess we don't fit in with the new U.S. full of hope!

We have no more to give!

Well maybe Penny Pritzger does

States can govern themselves , they collect their own taxes and so forth , I dont ever see any federal employees fixing the potholes on the roads where I live. The small town that I grew up in still has its own volunteer fire department and so do most of the towns in the township.
Im for less federal government interference and more for letting states govern themselves , as I see it a state should be able to know what its citizens want more than the federal government.

it's an el nino year. we already had a good winter storm last week.

been more than a decade since i saw that kind of soaking here in early october. on the other hand, it's supposed to be in the 90's tomorrow.

i'll default to my experience based prediction that any major televised event here gets sun. how many rainy rose bowls have you seen?

Wow, doesn't that sound a bit racist? Would you keep an eye on a white family that moves into town?
