2 staples of the Belmont spring and fall meet now being run at Saratoga, the CCAO and the Woodward, hmmmmmmmmm :o

geeker2 10-07-2009 04:32 PM

Travers 8/28?

I wonder if they'll shorten the CCA Oaks to 9F. I know the history buffs wouldn't like it, but this race has really been "Grade I" in name only the past few years. There's little sense in having two 10F races for 3YO fillies at Saratoga, and the shorter distance would probably help it compete for horses with the 8.5F Delaware Oaks.

Poor Steve! He barely makes it through now.

Note to self: Invest in Carolina BBQ

Just booked the Marriot for $161. a night. The chains haven't figured out the added racing dates. Book today save money.

The Belmont meet has become bad after July 4, and the last few days of the summer meet have been dreadful recently.

I agree with this.

That's pretty much what was done. 4 days taken upstate... 4 days between Sunday Belmont close (18th) and Toga opener (23rd).

MisterB 10-07-2009 06:31 PM
