Really looking forward to seeing how She Be Wild responds to two turns, a different surface, and much tougher competition.

She's looked incredible so far and gets over the Arlington surface like a champ, so it should be fun to watch.

Really nice field for the Phoenix.

I think everyone will think that way.... I doubt he is the favorite. Fatal Bullet might be on this surface. With the way the race seems to be on paper, I think it sets up best for CCMC, there is TONS OF SPEED, stalker types.

You notice that Alvarado got the spin on her.

That has to feel good....

Yea, big ouch, since the whole thing I remembered hearing was that he was sticking around to be close to her so he could stick with her.

Maybe he'll get her back for the BC...think Gomez will choose to stick around with her?

Can't know all the behind the scenes stuff, but that kinda sucks, from a first impression. Tempted to think he could've jumped ship before the Top Flight on Million Day....from the $40,000 claimer going in, but he didn't.

Hard to figure someone would claim her for 40K on May 30th ... if she just RNA'd for 19K at public auction on April 20th.

I probably feel sorry for whoever buys her off of Catalano.

the_fat_man 10-08-2009 05:45 PM

We had just that happen today at WO.

Catalano had Crowned Royal at AP; won a couple with him.

Jordan ran him 1st time today and the horse just exploded late to win.

Incredible how this guy's horse kick in the way they do. Reminds me of Ness at TAM.

No Kiddin JUst looked again and he is Still winning at 44% for the Meet and is 74% in the money. Thats Mind boggling

Back to She BE Wild I think we bid 10k or 12k on her while she was in the Ring, I just don't Know how much She could be worth because she is so dang small, She might be 15 hands but I would not swear to that.

She is tiny! You couldn't even see her when she went outside of Tidal Pool.

I thought the top two were really good.

The Indomitable DrugS 10-09-2009 07:20 PM

The 3rd place finisher was very wide on the turns ... but I'm not so sure that's such a bad thing at Keeneland .. will have to watch more and see.

Hoist Her Flag 10-09-2009 07:26 PM

tough race

I thought She Be Wild ran a pretty hard race today. Good effort, was in a good spot. Made a move into the turn. Dug in Negligee just picked it up late. Coming back in 27 days and shipping out West Oaktree may be a tough race for her. Favorites in Keeneland Stakes races continue to get beat. two more went down today, though they did finish second.

I'd take any of the top three over anything that ran last weekend not named Blind Luck.

NTamm1215 10-09-2009 07:58 PM

Helluva race by the Candyman. I'm sure it was good enough for him to earn a trip to the BC. He's one of those horses you have to watch out for because he seems to always show up.

How many times have you watched the race? I thought he ran well, but something just did not seem right... He kinda tipped out and appeared to just be flat, then burst in late, but at that point I wonder if it was more of the other 2 stopping.
