Crossed Fingers
From where I sit here in Middle TN..65 mile SE of Kentucky Downs.
The chances of Live Racing being cancelled at Ky Downs is pretty good. Which would really bite, since KD has their big DRF handicap Contest today. Out of the 8 Mandatory races, 6 are the live races from KD. People fly in from everywhere to play in this contest. (top 3 win seat in Vegas DRF tourney in Jan. 2010. and top place wins 5k:$: .) I have spent quite a few hourse the last 3 days capping my tail off and have absolutly no clue what they will decide to do if live racing is cancelled. As of now, the only contest tracks are TWP, KD, BEL, and LAD. So I guess they will have to open up a couple other track is KD cancels. ?? radar link. KD is where I-65 and the KY stateline intersect. http://www.newschannel5.com/Global/c...y.asp?C=145638 |
I think you're going to be ok. Been raining here in Lex for 5 straight days but it's dry 40 miles west in Shelbyville right now. Would suck if they cancelled again after they lost 3 races on Monday.

No more rain in the forecast until next weekend. It is clear as a bell here now, but don't know how the track is going to be considering the downpour we had yesterday evening. The track was an absolute bog, especially in the far turn and "dip" (heard it was over ankle deep). I'm going to get ready for tommorrow, but not too optimistic that they will race. Hope I'm dead wrong.
