Wow did the purses and racing on this day really drop off or what, I remember this being a big day but now its nothing.

Purses have dropped off a cliff. The winter meet at Turfway is going to be much, much worse for horsemen.

They dropped the 2 juvenile races all together. Too bad, it was once a nice day for solid racing at T'way. The Classic is OK with no stars. Only 2 years ago saw Street Sense and Hard Spun in this event, so it's not extinct, but is appears to be struggling this year.

Out of the 2000 races I see listed as stakes this weekend the only one in North America with a horse that interests me is the one with the Leopard at Woodbine Sunday. GRL.
