Zenyatta now has to go in the Beldame if Moss is still considering HOY. Good luck

lol yes he did!!! 22 and change and still win? Come on Zenyatta cant carry her over girth!!! And heard Simon Bray say after the wire when Macho Agian went by her she re-broke on him!!! Come on! What a horse! :{>:

pointman 09-05-2009 05:11 PM

Zenyatta is not even in her league. I am sure they will do everything they can to avoid running against Rachel on dirt. Too bad the BC is on polycrap this year, I can't fault Jackson for not running on that garbage.

JerseyJ 09-05-2009 05:12 PM

I don't think it would matter what Zenyatta did the rest of the year...but hey, Jerry Moss still has an undefeated filly who was all out to beat Anabaa's Creation and Lethal Heat. But horse of the year, not so much as a prayer after that.

Am I the only one that wasnt terribly impressed by that race? Maybe I hold her in too high of a regard but to me it didnt look like her A game in this one. I know- 3 year old filly facing older males and all so no one has to remind me. Regardless of fractions, I expected her to draw off and run these types into the ground and she just didnt. She was indeed life and death to hold off macho again.

I thought she was very game. I think D'Tara even stinks as a rabbit.

Oh I think she is extremely game. Maybe I expected too much. I wanted to see her drill this field like a 1/5 shot does. She has heart for sure.

She went 22 and change to the quarter in a 1 1/8 Grade I against older colts and the horses that were with her early finished 30 plus lengths behind her. It was a great performance.

D'tara definetly moved up off of his last start. He probably broke a 30 Beyer today

Who were the horses that were there with her early? D'tara? Past the point? They should have finished 30 lengths behiind regardless of the pace.

You should consider a different hobby. Borel gave her the worst ride in the history of BIG TIME racing. How she won is simply incredible.

Freddy this wasnt one of the ten worst rides of the day. What exactly was he supposed to do? Whisper in her ear, slow down baby girl??? Did you not notice the horse on the outside of her going into the first turn? Was he supposed to tuck in behind D'Tara? She was obviously wound up before the race. The middle fractions were all reasonable and she was able to kick clear turning for home which probably won the race for her.

Well, I like this hobby and I think I will continue it but i appreciate your concern fred.

Worst ride in the history of big time racing? I didnt see anything particularly wrong with the ride.

Lol ... did you soil your panties when she dumped Borel in the pre-race warm-up, Jersey boy?

Thought she was in trouble when that first quarter split flashed on the screen ... but she's clearly a gamer.

Terrific performance

Been a very fine campaign too

Of course, she still has a bit of unfinished business in Cali ...

Ah Cannon,

Beyers are final time figures. That means you have to actually finish the race in order to get one.

GenuineRisk 09-06-2009 06:52 AM

Borel blamed the noise of the crowd for Rachel getting antsy in the post parade, but from where I was, it looked like what set her off was Macho Again. He cantered by her, and she immediately broke into a canter and tried to go after him. Borel had her on a very tight hold, and she started bucking when he wouldn't let her take off. Talk about competitive.
