Can you tell me your stance against the 6 in the Ninth race? IMO if you are using 3 in that race it suprises me he would not be included.

I was going to use him. But then I noticed he was scratched.

I handicapped it earlier this morning and didn't double check the scratches....Thanks.

I'm worried about the 4 in Leg 1 and the 1 in Leg 2.

Not that it's worth the ink on my form, but I am using both.

I think it makes absolutely no sense that the 1 is debuting going long on the turf. He is bred all over the place for dirt. His workouts don't look pitiful but I have to let him beat me, especially that the only time Mott was trustworthy with firsters (especially on the grass) at Saratoga was 2007.

Unfortunately at this stage in my career, I'm still playing caveman tickets. But I may go crazy and single both with my top 2 selections in a backup ticket. That would be another $32.

Hasn't the topic of a Mott two-year-old debuting long on the grass at Saratoga when he has dirt breeding come up before on this board?

If only I could remember when and where.

Yeah, he lost his debut too.

There is literally zero grass breeding on the dam side of every horse in the race (based on the grass performance of the dam's themselves as well as their progeny).

Most of these should be running on the dirt instead of the turf. I think the entries are more of a function of distance rather than surface.

GL ALL hope a dt er hits this thing..:tro:

justindew 08-16-2009 02:38 PM

I just realized I only saved about $24 by leaving the 1 out of Leg 2 in the main ticket and playing him in a backup ticket instead.

I'm such an amateur at these multi-race bets.

Bigsmc 08-16-2009 02:40 PM

I am going to bail. Two 5.5 turf sprints are a bit much for my liking. I'm waaay over budget right now.

For the record, I was going to single Hangingbyathread. I'm not sold at all on Banrock running on firm turf.

Leaving that chalk off a $600 ticket is....:zz:

I'm sure my ticket is a winner now that I didn't punch it.

hoovesupsideyourhead 08-16-2009 02:57 PM

justindew 08-16-2009 02:59 PM

This Tagg firster that Byk liked in Leg 2 is getting support. And of course, I did not use him.
