640 yard par 5 and hitting it over the green in 2??

actually kev no laughs ... but i played today and hit driver 6 iron into a 535 yrd hole - second shot was from the 200 yrd marker to a downhill green

My buddy I played with yesterday ( a college golfer at TN Tech) has that kind of distance. He weighs a buck forty and just rips it with a really short swing.
I was driving it great yesterday, 280-290 and straight and he was blowing it 30-40 yards by me down the sprinkler line.

yup there are kids in college that can bang it 40 yrds by me ....i know i'ts frustrating!

I keep blaming it on my 4 year old Taylormade Burner.
He was hitting the new titleist d2.

FYI: Not sure if I told you, but if you haven't switched to the Srixon Z Star golf ball yet, you are missing out. Best golf ball I have ever hit.

I never thought I would be saying that. I was on staff with Titleist for years and have been playing the Pro V since day one, but this Srixon ball is the real deal.

Now if I could just learn to putt with it:wf

I had about 4 dozen left. I sold 2 dozen to a friend of mine and just a couple sleeves to Matt. I should have another dozen hanging around I will send you.

If he keeps hitting it like he did yesterday, yes. Just about pin high with every approach shot. I love the way he's swinging the club right now.

I charge more than Haney:D, but all i was asking for was one night with Elin and I promised him 15 more majors at least. He is still mulling over the offer
