The popular daily handicapping show “Talking Horses, Presented by Daily Racing Form” will now be available for live viewing online at www.nyra.com and www.drf.com/Saratoga beginning on opening day at Saratoga Race Course, Wednesday, July 29.

Formerly held at Siro’s restaurant and hosted by Harvey Pack, who retired earlier this year, “Talking Horses, Presented by Daily Racing Form” has been expanded and reformatted for 2009. Now 45 minutes long with three hosts, the show will be conducted in a live audience format and broadcast live from the Carousel Restaurant facing the grandstand backyard from 11:45 -12:30 p.m. on every racing day through closing day, Monday, Sept. 7.

Now, fans who are not on-track will be able to watch and listen to the show live online and get all the day’s handicapping selections from the program’s hosts. The new three-person format will include a NYRA host (Eric Donovan or Jason Blewitt), NYRA co-host Andy Serling and a Daily Racing Form guest host. DRF guests will include Steve Crist, Dave Grening, Dan Illman, Dave Litfin, Mike Watchmaker, and others.

“‘From the Horse Farm to the Finish Line’ is an excellent program and a great way to kick off the inaugural Fasig-Tipton Festival of Racing,” said Neema Ghazi, director of marketing for NYRA. “Education is critical in order to cultivate a sustainable interest in our sport and we are thrilled to partner with Fasig-Tipton, NYTB, and ThoroFan in a collective effort aimed at working toward this end.”

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be available for purchase at the newly-remodeled Fasig-Tipton Sales Pavilion Walking Ring and Snack Bar. Event sponsors will be present to greet guests before and after the seminar concludes at 11:30.
