7/8: Belmont (6th-9th)

Tremendously entertaining Holiday Weekend included great coast to coast action and some nice mutuel return anchored by the $1,103 Belmont P4 Saturday. It was a big day Saturday for the 'house horses' too, as nearly 30 partners and friends were on hand at Arlington to send Dee Tee Stables runners off to board hits within 90 minutes of each other. Hope you enjoyed summer's opening salvo and are ready for the final curtain on Hollywood's spring meet (Gold Cup and more..), Summit of Speed at Calder and much more!

Exceedingly tricky P4 sequence at Belmont Wednesday to start the week... Remember that Steve Crist is my guest 4:30-5:30 on 'ATR' as he discusses Formulator's newest wrinkle: The Crist Method Multi-Race Wager Ticket Constructor.

Mr. Byk, you have been doing quite well on your pick 4 tickets lately. Can I expect today's ticket to be a winner as well?

Sincerely, Clueless

Ramon's ride on #7 Brooker D in the 6th has to be one of his worst in recent memory...........lucky someone didn't go down in that one.

Just venting...............

The ride on My Man Lars wasnt much better. He may not have won, but he probably would have been in the number and who knows about the win.

Good call! From tomorrow's drf: (and note they cant spell the horse's name right! Ha hah haha).

Dominguez gets 3-day suspension

Ramon Dominguez, the leading rider at this meet, was given a three-day suspension for careless riding in Wednesday's sixth race. Dominguez will take the days Wednesday through Friday. The suspension was reduced from seven days for Dominguez waiving his right of appeal.

Dominguez was aboard Booker D, who bore in and interfered with other horses in the stretch while finishing sixth of eight.
