Very nice, Brock.

Can never see the name of this race without remembering poor Gypsy King.

Anyway, how it's shaping up (incase anyone wants to know without watching the video)...

Sea The Stars is out - therefore I am out too..

NoChanceToDance 06-27-2009 07:21 AM

Going to give Gan Amhras one more chance at the top level at a track that should suit him much better than Epsom did.

Blessing in disguise that Sea The Stars is out, he'd be much better suited to the eclipse.

Hail Caesar scratched...

Mourayan to win. :)

Good luck, but I've seen trees move faster than him :p

a ton of money for Fame and Glory, so you'd expect him to romp home..

Have 2 left in the jackpot, Gan Amhras and Masterofthehorse, so hoping one of them can upset the fav..

brockguy 06-28-2009 10:28 AM

Coolmore got their tactics pretty much spot on. Mourayan looks a 2 miler at least.. The winner reminds me of a slightly better version of Soldier of Fortune..

NoChanceToDance 06-28-2009 12:15 PM

Fame And Glory is definitley a thorough stayer and they made sure it was made a thorough test today. So far I haven't seen anything that will be able to beat him in the Leger.

I'm still not convinced he's what you'd call a top class horse. I know he's won well today, but I don't rate Golden Sword as a genuine group one horse and, like you said Mourayan just looks slow, he could make up into a decent cup horse in time, though.

Gan Amhras again disappointed and I think we can now say he doesn't see out the twelve furlongs. He is another one that will have much more success over ten furlongs, but with the likes of Sea The Stars and Rip Van Winkle also likely to prove that being their best trip, he's not going to find things easy. It's hard to fault his guineas run, however and he remains a high class colt.

Talking about stayers, who will be the O'Brien team for the Melbourne Cup this year? Will you be going, Brock? Let me know if you are.

Planning a Melbourne Cup trip in 2010, but will have to sit this year out! Are you heading down this year?

Are you going to Living Legends?

If so (and it's not on their site yet but) Bullish Luck is now there.

Sing the beginning to him. He'll understand why. :D

If I get time (and some nice person to take me) then I will make a visit. It's not far and the farm who I work for sponsor Living Legends now, so we get special treatment!
