Whats crazy about 150 years if you steal $50,000,000,000 and help ruin the country?

it's not a realistic number , he's going to be dead in 20 yrs maybe 30 tops , just slap him a 50 yr sentence no parole , no need to make a point with 150 yrs , he ain't going to make it 50 yrs in the joint

yeah but its not like this is the first time... people get like 5 life in prison sentences to be served consecutavely (sp)... but unless they believe in re-incarnation I dont think they will spend 5 lifetimes in prison.

a 150 year sentence isnt even realistic for a newborn. They just do it so they cant get loopholes and leave in 5 years.

gales0678 06-23-2009 12:35 PM

again you missed my main point and focused on the 150 yrs / crazy

my main point is that this lawyer , telling or asking the judge to only give his client 12 yrs is total comedy , i mean what lawyer can go into court and ask that this guy only get 12 yrs - on top of that someone in the lawyers family got bilked by bernie - just total comedy

12 yrs , 12 yrs !!!

i agree. he should get the death penalty. And if anyone committed suicide because of his scam (which I remember reading about one guy who did) he should get charged with murder. He's the worst kind of scum along with murderers and rapists.

believe me that is the easy way out , when you are on top of the world for 50 yrs and now regulated to a 6 by 6 cell for 23 hrs a day , which do you think is worse?

i say being in the cell is worse than death

dellinger63 06-23-2009 12:56 PM

I think the 150 yrs may give him a high security designation which may mean hard time in Florence or Tamms rather than dorm life in FL or MN. Give him the max and put him with the real bad guys. Nature should take its course in less than a year unless he wants to be sugar daddy to the entire population.

he's in the MCC right now , they should just leave him there

Max sentence for this vile piece of human debris

Now if we can just get that incompetent buffoon (Cox) that Bush had running the SEC into the adjoining cell...

He should get 97 days in jail and all of the people he ripped off should get a pie in the face.... unless they're very old or of questionable competence. Hit them with a friggin pie for being so naive.

The guy always showed a steady profit no matter what - over a span of like 30 years - in good times and bad. It's too good to be true. Why should he get 150 years .. because he ran his scam more clever than other frauds and con mans? I don't get it.

Only someone who is very greedy or just wants to play with fire would invest in something with illogically good results over such long periods of time like that.

Instead of sending this tough message by giving some old geezer 150 years - why don't they get the message and relentlessly investigate people with sustained too good to be true records?

Actually, it's not. Nothing is worse than not living. That's why so much effort has been put into religion. You now, fear of dying.

In this case, however, as he didn't take another life, it's not relevant.

Being forced to share a cell with Sumitas is worse than execution ... and probably falls just short of tortue under the legal definition.

buy some whore's that tease the hell out of the terrorists and say they cant get any action til the give up their partners... severe blue balls may be worse than simulated drowning.

Didnt the SEC investigate him many times in the past? Maybe they need to shape up their methods, retire, or join him on the inside.

You've obviously never got water in your nose before.

I will not swim hard unless I have one of those dorky ass plastic masks that work as goggles and nose water blockers ... and I get pissed and jump up every once in a while when water sneaks in.

All that like stringy snot and that terrible feeling in your nose and down your throat .. that's the worst.
