How was the winner 45 to 1?

I wonder the same thing. PHA bettors completely oblivious to the fact that Warner and Margolis shipped up for this $200k ungraded race. How could that not have factored into it at all? Not to mention their figs looked strong.

How was Mine That Bird 50-1 in the Derby?! Didn't people know Chip Wooley drove the horse left footed all the way from New Mexico himself?

So...you are comparing a $2,000,000 G1 to a $200,000 ungraded race.

Yes. That is EXACTLY what I'm doing.

Did you look at the race?

I bet the other Werner who ran 3rd at 37-1 but the winner was coming off a strong effort against older horses where she earned a Beyer of 86. That figure was better than or equal to everyone in the field except Union City and the eventual 2-3 finishers.

Whatever your rationale, she shouldn't have been 45-1.

I was mocking the pseudo redboard and the talk about Werner shipping in for "only" a $200K race when he has a string at Delaware and only two starters in the race last ran at Pha. I made a small action bet on the second place finisher. . .

Maybe 45:1 was an overlay.....but she was a hard horse to like.
