Nice to see that she made it back.

Against Rick Mettee's better judgment Godolphin is actually going to RUN Seventh Street and Music Note. It's an amazing idea.

Wow, that's actually a really nice race!

I don't see Music Note beating either her stablemate or Seattle Smooth at this point.

5 entries?

Maybe this should lose it's graded status for this running?

Saying "5 entries" is a little unfair. I do wish, however, that the three 1's could be offered as separate betting interests.

It may be 5 entries, but at least they are all quality

Seattle Smooth was dreadful in the Shuvee and Seventh Street set an absolutely crawling pace in the Apple Blossom on a track that was pretty kind to speed.

If Music Note runs even close to last year she will drown these horses.

I think Music Note is pretty good. Maybe people bet the race like this thread.

I wouldn't use the word dreadful to describe Seattle Smooth's win last time out, since she was bottled up most of the race. Granted it wasn't exactly pretty, but she did get the job done.

I'm thinking Music Note is using this race as a prep. Or, more precisely, her connections are. This distance seems short and it is off the layoff.

As for her running even close to last year, Seattle Smooth whipped Proud Spell last year, and I'm sure you recall Proud Spell's races with Music Note.

I don't really care about Seventh Street getting an easy lead last time either. I think she's a better horse than anything else in this race.

I think Seattle Smooth is a mirage, but given the others in the field, she will probably be third. I do agree that this isn't Music Note's best distance, but she is potentially so much better than these that it probably won't matter. And, you're right, Seventh Street is better than the others.

I don't get it. The efforts and 3/8's to go run for the lead moves by his other two cost Seventh Street the race in my opinion. And Seattle Move the beneficiary.

Maragh and Dutrow saw it the same way:

Possibly the best use of an entry ever... to set up another horse:zz:

Why? Cause Music Note got exposed as the mirage that she is?
