Illinois Racing gets a break

US Supreme Court just decided not to hear Casino's final appeal of money allocated to Illinois T Bred and Harness tracks. I believe $90 Million+ plus will be released within 30 days towards purses, Building and backstretch improvements.

Good news indeed!

Very nice -- now if we can just avoid some silly lawsuit from people trying to get the purses retroactively distributed, we could actually see some good come from it.

Something tells me we won't be so fortunate.

that's really good news!

Great news . Horse racing deserves the number 1 spot in legal gambling...and imo that includes encroachments from other sports as well . Way to carry the flag fans !!!

At the time the law was passed, it was estimated that Thoroughbred purses could increase by $10 million per year.

very good news indeed!

If you read through this, your chances of the Supreme Court hearing your case are on the bottom side of slim and none..
