JJ Redick

one of my favorite players, I just dont understand why he passes up shots and is to passive on the offensive end. This guy can shoot, score, and play when he wants, its a shame hes relegated himself in his mind as only as a role player. When at Duke he was fearless, took control, and he was money. He is good enough to do it at Orlando, so why wont he do it?

lol @ this. Funny stuff. The guy was not that great at Duke. He could shoot the ball but not much else. Not a good passer, not good at creating his own shot. All he can be is a role player. It's not always easy to transition from one level to the next. Look at Greg Paulus. All the hype coming in but he couldn't up his game. It's not as simple as it looks.

so Redick is just a shorter Jason Kapono then the way you view it?

He is the perimeter version of Tyler Hansborough.

I agree, Hoss.

AS a Cleveland fan, I agrere with seattle. Van Gundy ought to give Redick 35-40 minutes of run a game from here on out.

LMAO ...

Seattleallstar 05-21-2009 10:03 AM

yeah laugh now, wait til he scores 15-20 in a 3rd quarter in one of these games, but with a healthy Courtney Lee I dont see it happening

This Orlando team is one of the only teams
that can give him significant minutes.
His Defense absolutely stinks, which is
an improvement from previous status.

He can shoot the ball.
He has got a significant big man
behind him that can intimidate the
guards that blow by him.
He is lucky to be on this team
otherwise he would be playing
in Israel. This team has allowed
him to show he does have some
value.

JJ Redick would score 15-20 pts in a single quarter if not for the presence of...Courtney Lee???

Hmmmmmmmmmm:)

will be the difference maker, just you watch

Reason I pull for him so much because, we have a similar game. We can shoot lights out, high basketball IQ, but we both dont have speed.

Yeah that was real a real high IQ play he made at the end of last night's game.

I know Redick played for Duke, and now plays for the Magic. What college and NBA teams have you played for so I can really make an honest comparison to see how similar your games are? Are you Tim Legler?

the_fat_man 05-20-2010 12:47 PM

Yet another who FLOURISHED in Coach Kayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssss system (and all the perks that come with playing for him).;)

He's like all those horses that need perfect trips to win. When the calls stop going his way, when the game is actually FAIR or tilted against him, since he's no longer a star and his team is not getting preferential treatment, he basically disappears. Which means that he wasn't much to being with.

**** DOOK.
