I thought I heard Al Stall say My Pal Charlie was gonna run in this spot when they interviewed him about Terrain Saturday.

Cool.. I put him on the list. Nominations/Weight Assigns come out Wednesday.

I hope all three of those 3-year-olds run and run well. That would hopefully lead other trainers/owners to think outside the box a little in the future instead of pushing fast, distance limited horses through the TC races.

That being said, I think Imperial Council would be out of his league here.

Interesting what has become of Harlem Rocker? This race would have been a fit.

Still recovering from colic I think. Not sure he is even in training yet.

Looks like it might be a fun race. I might take a day trip down there for that.

He's in the majority of people that are able to take an unbiased view of the race.

I thought it was 60/40 they would decide on keeping him up, I think at the time I cited some non Dq's in particular a Contessa horse not getting the benefit of the call the same week before the race that was worse in my opinion. That if anything that fustrated me more as I had made a case for HR all year and to have him finally deliver at a price, it was well...quite dissapointing.:zz:

Its not a bias opinon when the horse that gets put up was already passed and had no shot of winning the race. If anything it woke the horse up when HR came over and gave him a kiss.

So far today you've said that Street Sense won the '07 Travers by a measured half-length and then this gem. Is there any possibility of an encore?

Street sense was never in danger of losing that race and Ekati was asleep at the wheel when Harlem Rocker blew by him in the stretch, NO WAY IN HELL TALE OF EKATI WINS THAT RACE IF HE WAS NOT INTERFERED WITH. If anything it cost HR winning by open lengths. The DQ was a complete joke.

Maybe Mine That Bird was best in the Preakness?

I never said that but ill say this, if Musket Man didnt check down on the rail around the far turn and lose 2-3 lengths I think RA would of had some real competition at the wire. You figure while she was getting the jump on them MM was having trouble getting through on the rail and still only lost by a length.
