My problem with Friesan Fire in the Preakness is that he worked well before his horrendous Derby trip. I like the horse and I certainly haven't thrown it out of consideration but I'm not putting much weight into that single work.

Moses, I'm definitely not basing my opinion of him on one single work. Jones was a bit over dramatic about FF's superficial injury in the Derby, which surprised everyone when he considered the Preakness. Jones is to good of a horseman to just enter him because of his last work. FF offers tremendous value for a beaten Derby favorite. Good luck today.

Like Jazzman's Dance a bit here. Dueled and held much better than the other on the pace horse(s) last out; and he didn't see the winner who had a Borel type run, while battling well with horses that came to his outside.

Thanks. Same to you.

There is certainly a lot to like about Friesan Fire. Depending on his odds I might play him.

Worked fast before the Derby...Pulled up sharp, no gallop at all. Fast but not good. This work was far better and more like a natural high speed work by a horse who got nothing from his last race. Should set him up but who knows, maybe he left it all in Lousiana.
