Can't believe I will be in Louisville this weekend and won't be able to go to the track to see this matchup. Man, I'm really starting to get  ........... |

Would take Cash Refund here easy.

I would slow down.....there is a huge difference between a very consistent, proven Grande 2 and 3 horse and running a couple fast numbers against maidens ands 1 other than horses.
Capt. Candyman will handle it here. |
Cash Refund certainly has a huge pace advantage but I'd also not really concede this race to him. Capt. Candyman Can brings his A game every time sprinting and I think his Bay Shore figure is too low. He also had his Hutcheson adjusted, so it's not like he's some ridiculous slowpoke.
The Bay Shore was a merry-go-round but he looked very professional in the stretch and I think his graded stakes background will make the difference. NT |

Personally rooting for Margolis, but even if I weren't, I'd take Cash Refund in a romp. If I can get 8-5 on him (unlikely), guns blazing.

You can only beat who shows up. |

But it was also apparently worth listening to those talking about who Hull had beaten before he won the Derby Trial...and those horses were arguably one or two claiming levels worse than the ones Cash Refund trashed. This is basically the exact same conversation I had a few weeks ago. You know me though, I wouldn't have picked against Hull or Cash Refund in either of the two spots no matter who had shown up because they've been my favorite, exciting horses since their debuts (as I'll pull a John White and remind anyone anytime it's even a little relevant). Neither has done anything wrong yet, and until one of them does, I see no reason to think they'll lose, and Cash Refund would pwn Hull. I'll reassess when one of them proves me wrong. And if you keep calling him Cash Return and saying he won't win, does that mean you get to be right when a horse called Cash Return doesn't win today? :D |
Wow, Taqarub and Yano just ran huge.........
