Fantasy Horse Racing

I've heard Jon White talk about his fantasy stable and a caller (might have been a guest -- I was in and out of the car a lot) on the show today alluded to Hull being on his rotisserie "team."

I'm a fantasy sports guy who ate up every minute of the Road to the Roses game. I've got to get on board with this year-round.

Anybody involved in such a league or have any input or advice on which is the best site to go to? Obviously, getting a group of friends together would be the way to go, but I'm out on an island here in the Toledo, Ohio area. My friends stubbornly refuse to give thoroughbred racing a chance. God forbid if it were to take any time away from following the NFL...

...in ****ing May.

Some of the West Coast commentators and press box types have a draft at the start of the Santa Anita winter meet.

It's safe to say that's what he's talking about.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say he got POTN late in the first round last year.

Does TVG still run their game?

Yeah.

I'm still depressed about finishing only 4th in my repeat bid in the DT R2R game this year.

Talk about ego destruction.

I'm in a couple of leagues... they're fun. Lots of industry folks dabble in them.

I was fairly satisfied with my 28th place finish in the Road to the Roses, especially since I screwed the pooch by drafting Dutrow and Asmussen as my trainers (hey, what can I say? I'm drawn to villains. I rooted for the likes of The Honky Tonk Man and Bill Laimbeer, and I consider Darth Vader one of "my boys"). On top of those weak earners, Eibar Coa was one of my jocks (another favorite of mine....for some reason. I must've either hit on a nice payout with him once or I just like saying the name "Eibar").

Although, in Eibar's defense, he came up big for me down the stretch with wins in the Illinois Derby and the Bluegrass. What a baller!
