Looks like the Travers is going to be a bore

Article in the DRF is stating that Pletcher and Romans are not committing as of yet for the Travers. I think Pletcher will actually skip the Travers with Bluegrass Cat. I dont think he likes the 20 days rest. I could see the Super Derby for him or maybe even try older horses or something. Romans seems to be leaning a little more to the Travers with Brite One. But again, I think he will look elsewhere. Both are afraid of Bernardini.

Here is the link to the artcile in the DRF.

Romans will roll if his horse is 100%. Pletcher is the king of ducking.

I dont mean to say Pletcher is a coward, I mean to say that he puts his horses in the best possible place to win. And sometimes that means ducking a horse (which is good sometimes).

The only exciting thing about the Travers will be the post race Bernardini bandwagon singing his praises and comparing him to Barbaro, Secretariat, and even Jesus.

Thats over top. Pletcher will not compromise his horse if he dosent like the 20 day turnaround. Da Cat is primed and even if Bernadini is a better horse, if both stay sound they will get a crack at eachother. Saying Pletcher will duck is just not true.

I think Tagg should have Showing Up take a crack at Bernardini in the Travers instead of racing him at Arlington. I know he's a better turf horse than dirt, but I still think he's better than Sunriver, SNS, Deputy Glitters (obviously), Steppenwolfer, and all the Cali horses on dirt. Plus, if I were the Jacksons, I'd be reluctant to send him to Arlington- even though all the breakdowns have been on turf.

Any ideas of who actually is pointed towards the Travers?

Not only did he walk on water, he broke the Sea of Galilee record held by Jesus!
