Aqu 6th- Durkin's call

Did anyone hear Durkin's call of the 6th yesterday... Instant Classic. "thoroughbred's in flight... wish I could see them!"

he had a few yesterday. wouldn't have wanted to trade places with him for anything trying to call races that nobody could see. only things he had were the times until the cameras picked them up on the turn and then blanked again until in the stretch.

Just viewed on ESPN......Of all of the complaints I hear concerning racecallers, Durkin (pros and cons considered) is the gold standard of announcers. It has been established mistakes are made by all. Durkin is by far the most entertaining. If Battaglia is a 2500 clm then Durkin is BC Classic winner IMO.
