Bracket building
Major considerations in filling your bracket:
1. Which teams have enough talent to play a bad game and still win. 2. Who has improved throughtout the year and peaking now. 3. Versatility. Match up well with many diff. types of teams. 4. Teams that were never out of any game, even in loses. 5. Bench deep enough. 6. Matching up. Ex. One might think Duke is vulnerable to big tough slow down teams. (sort of like #3 but looking for a weakness) 7. Bad tournament loss, but is probably very hungry team because of it. What else, help me out here... |
watch teams that basically only shoot 3's.... if they are on, they'll beat anyone. If they're off, then they tank to a team they should beat.
also, mid level seed that wins a conference tourney is very vulnerable in the first round (used up to win the conference tourney). |
Don't take whoever draws North Dakota State to go very far since they won't be getting past the first round.

With regards to the bench, that will come more into play on the saturday and sunday as opposed to thursday and friday.

Road/neutral performance. HUGE predictor of performance in the Tournament.

Pumping up for the home fans, but when adversity shows up, wilt. Look for comebacks on the road? |
