Not 3 mil really is it? Will end up being 5-7mil right(with incentive $$.) It's a lot less than he wanted at the end of the season. Going into free agency off an injury is a costly situation.

Well, Hudson got hurt last year, and Dewitt slumped badly(and got sent down to Triple A.) So, this gives them options in case either of those 2 things occur. If Furcal gets hurt, they have got to have offense from the 2nd baseman (because our back-up shortstops are offensive disasters.) Offensively, Dewitt is a question mark.

Still nothing in the big picture. they will gladly pay the incentives provided he hits them
