Probably giving half the assets in his will to various future Prop 8-type initiatives("Humanitarian" efforts.)

Your attempt at humor leaves much to be desired. Because he is from Utah
that automatically makes him a Mormon?.....with blind allegience to the Temple? Put the facts out first.....then editorialize, huh?

And you have a copy of his will, therefore you can back up your claim of proposed
bequests to Anti-Prop 8 groups?
As for not attending games, the man was in Bad health for quite a long time.
They tell me that with a Big Screen...it's just like you're there;)

No, wasn't at home when games were going on. He was out driving around. It's, for sure, a religious deal. Espn has a story on it. Read the Wojciechowski story in the middle of that page.

Maybe, favorite ESPN (or another sports site) in place of one of those Right Wing sites.

He was a pretty good owner compared to most pro sports owners. He spent money on players, his teams consistently made the playoffs, he sat on the sidelines not in some skybox and didnt fire people on a whim as Sloan has been there for 20 years which is close to unthinkable nowdays. His personal choices or feelings had nothing to do with his ownership.

Spent 21Million for a Police Academy or some such thing, and established various trusts for youth and disadvantaged kids. These are good things.

The LDS Church's Jan. 30 financial disclosure lists $117,424 in compensated staff time and use of church facilities and equipment devoted to Prop. 8 passage. So, don't tell me this was some kind of great person. He censored a movie from his theaters, and supported a cult church that used church property and staff to defeat a proposition in another state(which they refused to admit to doing until forced to do so some 3 months after the election.) This is the same guy who had a UPN affiliated television station until he couldn't handle the fact that they had so much URBAN/ETHNIC programming . UPN had to switch to another Salt Lake area television station. He's gone, and that's the best thing about this weekend. Wish the whole state was gone. Utah is a big ugly dumpster of stale white bread.

Love how you shade the "facts"! Miller isn't the LDS..he's a member. He has said that censoring the movie was a knee-jerk reaction that he regrets. Why should he be compelled to give air-time to groups who have no presence in the state? That's just bad business. Have you watch the community channels...they're a joke! Please tell us about your contributions to society! Yeah, right!

Oh my goodness, you've obviously never ski'd the best powder in the world!! That white you're talking about is the powder...(not the LA powder!). In the end, there are no 100 percent absolutely perfect people. Larry Miller was unable to break that trend unfortunately. Have you?? His time as the owner for the Jazz was a very successful period for the team...very. As Cannon said, he was a very good professional sports owner. Of all the "evil" people (whatever that is) that have lived on this planet, I don't think Miller ranks in the top 10. That may just be me however!

(and where would all those LA people do that Park City thing they do if the whole state was gone??? Would they really do any such Park City festival thing that they do if Utah was a big ugly dumpster???)

...all kidding aside, Utah is one of the most spectacularly beautiful states in the union regardless of what one's feelings of the LDS religion/cult may be....end of story. Some of my favorite places on the planet are in that state.
