Malibu Stakes winner Bob Black Jack is expected to be sidelined well into the summer with an unspecified ailment. “He’s going to need six months off,” said trainer Jim Kasparoff of the California-bred son of Stormy Jack, who set a North American record of 1:06.53 for six furlongs in the 2008 Sunshine Millions Dash. “He had some complications with an injury behind we first noticed last month,” Kasparoff continued. “It’s possible he could need surgery, but at this time, I think it’s going to heal OK without it.” . . .

Bob Black Jack is an overachieving sprinter, he won't last 10 furlongs.

Undisclosed injury and will be out @ 6 months. Trainer never said what the problem was.

Bob Black Jack needs to win something outside a restricted stakes. I don't think he's ever faced open company with older horses.

She attacked his famous brother as well. Both of these horses should of been taken to Churchill/Oaklawn, and just left there to spend 90% of the year.
