Meyhem in the office
 

So for the past couple weeks, someone has been going into co-workers cubicals (and boss's offices) and stealing cash out of their purses. Its happened to at least 10 people. Some people have had a few hundred stolen and one girl had a bottle of pain pills stolen. Some people who have been keeping their purse in their drawers are still getting things taken.

Nobody knows who it is!! Whoever is doing it sure has some large huevos. I hope I catch her red handed (it has to be a girl... we have like 70 women who work here and like 5 men... men stick out like a sore thumb here). Whoever it is is a pile of dog $hit!

AT: that really sucks when you can't trust the people you work with at the office. What kind of business?

Look for Management to put security camera in......bad for morale for them to do nothing!

the security camera is a good idea if its cheap enough. times are tough. could be layoffs so I doubt they will be spending on security. We have cameras outside but not inside.

Nothing that managment can really do until we catch the person and then managment can fire their ass!

People just need to keep their cash locked in their cars. Its probably a temp employee.

You're not far off from that.....somebodys benefiting from them! It's hard to get them replaced,too. Insurance companies frown on the "stolen pills" line

How 'bout a motion detector in your cubicle? Sets off one of those 'fire alarm' thinggys and Boom...you got your thief! unless your girlfriend wanted to borrow a tissue!

they sent out an email this morning to everyone saying to secure your items.

We were hoping that the person would stop after reading the email but 2 people have been stolen from since then.

When I was in High School, I worked in a store that had these black plastic half spheres that would stick out of the celling. It would give people the perception that there were cameras in the store. It seemed to work, we never really had a theft problem (except for the people that worked there :o) Maybe that could be a cheap solution for you guys, but the whole key is to have them installed when no one is there. And more important no one can find out that there are really no camera's. If the person thinks they are being watched, the thefts will probably stop.

Get some empty Vicodan bottles and fill them with those pills that make you throw up. Come in telling every one you hurt your shoulder (at a strip bar..if that would add to the story) Then sit back and wait.;)

Would have seen this earlier but have been watching a very funny collection of youtube clips of the GW years. Very entertaining. Not sure of the relavence of your clip, but must be a D/R thing unless you are saying Anti is guilty of sleeping with the enemy?.

I say TRAP THE RAT!!!!!! We would take some blueing compound that is use to color steel and put it on the back side of a draw handle and who ever grabbed the handle the paste would STAIN thier hands blue. I'm telling you the only way to get the stuff off your hand is to wait till the skin cells die and replace themself. Call any tool supply house and ask for a tube of Prussan Blue.

i almost never carry cash, and don't carry a purse. you can't trust anyone, which is a shame....it's why i always lock my office when i leave too-that way no one steals the ink pens!
