Very unusual, but quite refreshing. John Ward speaking about Dr Pleasure's chances Wed at Gulfstream:

It's a shame Ward left out what a disappointment Dr. Pleasure is despite his incredible breeding and significant hype. Now he has a built-in excuse for another loss also.

However, your original point is a good one, the honesty can be appreciated.
