Go Between dead...
Died following a workout due to an apparent heart issue. Sad.

That's a shame.
There had been rumors yesterday but by the evening when there was no word I was hopeful they had been just that. Poor guy. |
Sorry to hear that. He disappointed me in the BCC but (at least on Poly) he was a pretty nice horse.
|
What in the holy hell? That stinks - I liked this guy and thought he ran pretty darn well in the Pacific Classic this year.
|
I was surprised they had him coming back, to be honest.
|
Damn that sucks. Always like this guy. Biggest memory was watching the beautiful ground saving trip Prado gave him in winning the Palm Beach for his first stakes win.
RIP old boy:( |
When you call at Louisiana Downs the top-tier horses don't come around every weekend. Go Between won a stake on our Super Derby undercard in '07 and instantly became a favorite of mine. I too was disappointed by his BC performance but he had a lot of good races in between. Very sad.

always rooted for GB. we were at Colonial the day he crushed Kip Deville in 100* weather to win the Virginia Derby.:(
|
Terrible news....
|
Sad to hear of his passing. :(

RIP, boy. :( |
Fare Well to Go Between

It is tougher for most of us fans when a horse that has been racing for a number of years goes down. Seemed like he always came running at the end of every race, whether he got there or not.
I didn't realize he had won 3 million dollar races (Pacific Classic, Sunshine Millions Classic, and Virginia Derby). Here's hoping that HRTV does a special feature on the horse (last year's winner of the Sunshine Millions Classic) on Sunshine Millions Day and the people whose life he touched. |
