"When Rail Trip debuts all will know"

Those be the words of the prophet KyRim's sig many, many, many months ago.

He debuted winning "handily" and getting 6fs in 1:07 and change with a 102 Beyer in early November. Career start #2 comes in tomorrows 4th at Hollywood Park.

Of this, all should know.

maybe he is good but how have the horses he has beat been running since?

Just not sure of the figures for that race...that field sucks tomorrow, he can win it with a lesser race then his maiden, a lot lesser.

I haven't been following the West all that hard and am not so sure what he beat on debut.

Here is the thread featuring one of the all-time great same hour backpeddles in internet history... starting with post #86:

When I saw that horse in the entries, I wondered why I knew the name. I remember the Febuary tout.

It was the most expensive yearling by it's sire to sell at auction that year...I was aware of him... I could have guessed he was with Ellis when KyRim pronounced his greatness and than said he wasn't much all within the same hour.

The anticipation is building!!!! Less than an hour now!

(And BTW Jugdash.. I mean Douglas... Thanks for the Hanukkah well-wish!)

Not bad. Not bad at all. Understatement.

Horse is a runner......but with Ellis' track record of keeping horses healthy they better strike while the iron is hot.

Ok Shirley

God is right. The answer is No.

He's by Jump Start (a fragile Lukas son of A. P. Indy who was 2nd to Officer in the Champagne) out of a lightly raced Carson City mare that Pat Byrne trained.

Doesn't sound like the type of horse that will be around for a long time pedigree wise.

I think in years past he's the type of horse that you'd just call "a nice prospect" at this stage ... however, with the current state of horse racing .. he's had 2 races against the type of horses you'd call "suspects" .. and he no doubt has to be taken seriously as one of the 5 or 10 older males most likely to contend for a division title next year.

Thanks. I will keep an eye out in case he develops puffy ankles or begins to crossfire.
