Retired- standing at Walmac. I've seen this happen a few times before... Afleet Alex supposedly worked a year after he was retired.

Sounds like someone needs to update their stable mail.

I had this happen today!! We retired a horse to a rescue facility in FL. earlier this year. I had an e-mail that he worked over the weekend at Turfway. It obviously wasn't him....Is this an honest mistake or is it like identity theft?

In your case i may worry that the horse was 'unrescued'

Couldn't this mean that a Bandini progeny maybe worked? I know that most yearlings/new 2 year olds are referred to by their mom's names for a while.....

31lengths: That is a great logon name -- I like it.

Street Sense worked a half mile at River Downs about 2 days before the Preakness in 2007. I think some people prank call the clockers and sometimes the clockers might mishear the name on the radio.

the guy calls in "Yeah i got Candini going 5/8ths with Carl' and the clocker heres Bandini, there u have it.

It happens a bit, I recieved this earlier this year:

Equibase:
This notice is to inform you that one or more of your horses has worked out.
Shake You Down
Date: September 24, 2008
Track: HAWTHORNE
Distance: Four Furlongs
Time: 49:80 Breezing
Track Condition: Fast
Surface: Dirt
Rank: 13/47

I emailed the track and they replied, said the clocker apparently "scrolled down too far" and that it was a workout by Shakey.

I've since cleaned out my stable mail.

SYD retired in March '07
