XpressBet New Video Player, Mac OS X

Am I the only horseplayer who uses a mac? The new XpressBet video player isn't supported by Mac OSX. I was able to watch the previous player on my mac (PowerPC running OS 10.4) using Flip4Mac WMV but I can't find anything for the CanVid player. Has anyone figured out how to watch this on a mac?

When I asked XpressBet, this was their response:

'At this time, we are not compatible with a Mac OS. We are constantly
striving to improve our system, and you will want to check back with us
in the future.'

I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for the 'upgrade' XpressBet.

Twinspires appears to be compatible but I'm in Minnesota and can't open an account.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Eric

Eric,

I can bring this up with Xpressbet's Johnny D. tomorrow on 'ATR'... We'll see what he can find out or do to rectify...

I'll be listening.
Thanks Steve!

LOL...I've been using XPRESSBET'S live video up until now. I switched to TVG live video last night. They keep saying something is supposed to pop up and allow you to download that new video player at XPRESSBET. Well it didn't. So, f them. I've never won anything substantial there. I only have won good stuff at TVG. I go there for certain tracks, and was watching live video there. Damn site is so dark. There is no doubt I do best at TVG. This trouble I(and you) had with the video player is typical of XPRESSBET, and HRTV. They are not well run. Their site can break down badly. They just aren't as well run. Pretty much like that whole Magna situation with horse racing. I am not gunna try anywhere else anymore. I cash at TVG. Don't know why(less fck ups, for one thing.) It just seems like with anything run by Magna the bettor has to jump through hoops to finally get something to work. This is not like a one-time deal. Stuff like this always comes up with them. You shouldn't have to go through all this because they up n' decided to change the video player. Even if(like you) you have Mac. They can't get their head out of their a. For some reason, they've always thought it's just fine to make customers jump through hoops to get things right. Tired of them. They've inconvenienced you, and this is normal for them.

No Video For 3 Days

I have been on the phone with the "tech support" from Xpressbet and have done everything they said to do. No luck. I have no other accounts, so I will just have to play without watching, I guess. Well, I can watch Tvg and play Hollywood and GG. It's pissing me off.

Yea, ya start turning shi-t off, then you better remember to turn it back on(or a paranoid btch gunna roast you later.) So far, people with MAC, Windows XP, and Windows Vista have had trouble.

Ditto! Go back to the old one. You should be able to run it without having to turn off filters. Ask him why there sister site has free PP's and they don't. Free PP's would be nice.

hi_im_god 12-14-2008 02:52 PM

it's not an elegant solution but i had to load vista on my mac for work and run it in parallel (an osx program that allows you to run 2 operating systems at the same time).

so, if you'd like to spend even more money to run a crappy operating system on your $2000 mac, it's possible.

one thing that sucks about the new video is that it wont go to full screen, only large? whats up with that? youbet has full size screens, what gives johnny d????????????????

Well, I've put up with the "new video" on Xpressbet for a week now, and I'm done with it. Back to YouBet.

I have screaming DSL and a good computer - frankly, the new video quality is awful - it looks like some basic large-pixel video from years ago. The audio? Terrible. Sounds like they are talking in a tin can. I can't stand listening to it.

And I don't think they care.

xpressbet pro

has anyone played with this yet? i can't get it to load right and when it does it's to big for the browser, can't get it sized right. when i get to work the video won't play.
mrs d signs in and it kicks her out. if it lets her on it won't drop and drag properly.
why would post a product, that half-ass works?:zz:
