Bob Stoops-OU

I'm not an OU fan...but hats off to Bob Stoops for compromising his season and doing the right thing.

There was probably a gun ****ed to Stoops head (NCAA was looming boldly)..and he had no choice but to cut his starting QB loose.

Ez

Well we can disagree....from everything I've seen this was done by Oklahoma and "Brand wouldn't comment on whether the NCAA would investigate the allegations at Oklahoma." (looming boldly?)

anyway, this is good

The amazing thing here is that so many sports commentators blame the university...I think that certainly there is a lot of this stuff that goes on and certainly colleges will often look the other way but bottom line...this kid knew right from wrong and was willing to risk a promising career, perhaps tens of millions of dollars to cheat and get paid for work not done...it's on him! I do think the booster that gave him the job should be held accountable also...the only way to stop this stuff is to enforce the rules!

I just have a hard time with any head coach not knowing what his star QB is doing.. My prediction was that when oil went over $65 per barrel, OU would be going on probation...the boosters just can't help themselves. I'm from Oklahoma, so this is not just the usual OU bashing.
