Really Stupid Question
Guys, this is an all time 'stupid' for me but I'm having a huge lapse in memory. Will Empire Maker's first foals be juveniles this summer or next? Have any raced yet? How do they look?

From Juddmonte's website, looks like they're yearlings? I could be wrong, but that's the oldest they have posted.

the oldest they can be is yearlings
retired at 3 in 2003 stud at 4 in 2004 foaled in 2005 yearlings in 2006 |
entered stud for 04 season so his first foals are yearlings--I would bet there are foal pics on Juddmonte's website.
whoops..a little late... BUT--he should have some selling @ sar. next week, you can watch the auction live online and see them yourself |
beat me to it :)

His first foals are yearlings of 2006. He has three in the select sale at Saratoga next tuesday/wednesday.

Thanks guys. I'm really looking forward to see what he has to offer!

Watch for the price on the colt out of the Seattle Slew mare next week. Should fetch quite a few dollars.

I'm forget Empire Maker's problems....was it feet? There is a very similarly bred colt in 112 (compared to 153) |
yeah he had foot issues--abscesses and such...
to be honest i am not EM's biggest fan and would definitely prefer the other colt...of course that is without seeing either of them so it is not a real evaluation. |
Anyone check out #125. EM filly 1/2 to Monarchos?
|
they've chosen to inbreed the Mr Prospector, the Northern Dancer, in his 3 foals. None are crossed with a Fappiano.
