This may be a dumb question that has been answered a million times but, what exactly makes the inner "winterized"? Is there some sort of heating system to keep it from freezing?

chemicals

The racing sucks qualitywise, but I find sharp handicapping is more rewarded. Keeping good trip notes, even on a daily level, can result in some nice scores...

They use an antifreeze from what I understand, similar to what you put in your car. BTW would be the one to answer this question officially.

The horses are crap once GP opens, but that kind of helps it because the mediocre horses can't run against the biases- so for example when a speed horse who had been fading drawn outside gets an inside post, it's almost an automatic bet.

The second part for me is I'm an almost comically bad turf handicapper so no turf is actually a gain :tro:
