Not entirely.. Racing office told Chuck they will keep writing these $30k MC fillies as there must be oodles of them on the grounds. Hopefully they write at least one more for Sunday or next week.

At least we only have to pray for 2 scratches on Friday. We're getting closer... Maybe we'll be in the next race.

I'm hoping for Friday's race, or a race Sunday, as I'll be in Louisville. :D

We should send Gillooly (sp?) and Tonya Harding in for a barn tour on Friday morning.

steve 11-18-2008 09:31 PM

i would settle for getting into a race either thursday or friday of next week

onebadbeast 11-19-2008 12:37 AM

weekend race!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:{>:

Kasept 11-19-2008 01:51 AM

The field Friday was very 'approachable'. Rampillion looked to be 3rd choice in that group.. We would do well to avoid facing that Bizzee Mizzee from Greg Foley. She looks to be sitting on a win

So we need Bizzee Mizzee and one other horse to scratch, right?

Rampillion DID NOT draw in for today's race...

Was wel thought of though in DRF analysis:

Sixth Race (Byron King)

1. Bizzee Mizzee 2. Maggis Lass 3. Rampillion
BIZZEE MIZZEE comes off a pair of runner-up finishes for trainer Greg Foley and jockey Julien Leparoux in large fields at Keeneland and Churchill. Poised for her maiden victory. MAGGIS LASS improved second out, flashing improved speed and fading slightly late to be fourth. Rose of Aran, the winner, returned to win a starter $40,000 race Nov. 14. RAMPILLION, stuck on the also-eligible list, took action in her debut at this level, starting at 7-1 odds. She ended up a non-threatening sixth but should move forward off that race.

Closer Look (Mike Watchmaker)

Rampillion
Took a bit of money in a big field in her debut and turned in a decent even effort. Has every right to improve and can contend if she gets in.

I am amazed at how difficult it is to get into a race for this age/condition. I have never really paid close attention, is this normal? Or is there a glut of 2 y.o. fillies at Churchill?

if there are fewer 2 yr old colts.. I believe Chuck should try her against the boys. It can't do any harm at this stage of the game. 2 yr old colts are behind the curve anyway.
