Invasor Vs. Bernardini

These two horses cruised in thier last and looked like the top two horses in the country right now. We may see them in the JCGC at belmont in October as the preview to the BCC. Flower Alley ran only once this year so he still has to prove that he deserves to be with these two. We will see in the Whitney

Invasor has to prove he can beat Discreet Cat before he graduates up to a monster like Bernardini...I do believe that Invasor is the best handicap hoprse in the country right now and will beat Flower Alley in the Whitney, but i jut don't think there is a dirt horse alive that can run with Bernardini...i just don't..

...what's going on with Discreet Cat...heard anything?

boldruler 08-01-2006 08:44 AM

Invasor and Flower Alley are both very good horses, but they have yet to do anything on par with Bernardini. Bernardini now has 3 efforts in a row where he looked like a horse that can't be beat.

He'll run in the Jerome at BEL....missed too much time to make the Travers and he wasn't going to beat his stablemate anyway.....

You honestly don't even think there is a dirt horse alive that can run with Bernardini?

What is going to happen if he loses? Are you going to say you were wrong, or say he was injured or "not right" or some stuff like that?

If Bernardini wilts in the stretch and gets passed like Lion Heart was fond of doing, what happens then Joel?

I just don't think a lot of people are looking at this horse objectively....I just don't.

list of horses who would crush the four raced Bernadini

1)Hurricane Run,son of Montjeau, Number 1 ranked horse in the world

2)Electrocutionist, Current World Cup Holder, just lost to Hurricane Run last week in deeeeep stretch.

3)Lava Man, nothing is flowing hotter than him out west, current HOY favorite choice

4)Invasor, son of Candy Stripes, Urguyan Triple crown winner, currently undefeated in america i believe.

5)Flower Alley, been in hiding this year cept for 8f in the slop, will see what he is capable soon enough

6) Commentator, people avoid running against him like he has aids, and for good reason

you can say what you like about Bernie, with as much conviction and self assured knowing as you would like.
he is good, but right now he is an unwritten book. those above have written part of their destiny already, and deserve to be acknowledge for their accomplishmnets before you annoint a 4 race 3 yo as the next phalaris.

This is for Secretariat/Blockheadd

You post this nonsense on the ESPN board on Friday and you come back her on Tuesday and act like no one would see it. Well here is what you wrote about this board.

they have no shortage of opinions there, and a good collection of gamblers who have no shortage of names to call you, complete with a clique within the clique that talks on IM about other poster not in the clique in ways necessary to make themselves feel superior; the way school girls used to talk amongst themselves in pig latin, while they exchanged their little self assuring glances to one another reaffirming their belonging in the pig latin corp.

Really, Hurrican Run would beat Bernardini on dirt, a surface has no breeding for? What big horse ducked Commentator?

Hurricane Run likes dirt? says who?
Electrocutionist - cant say
Lava Man - This horse wont win outside So. Cal so dont push him to do it
Invasor - Looked cool winning the Suburban so he is a good challenger
Flower Alley - Wins a weak field at Monmouth in lone start and he is already HOY contender?
Commentator - Same as Flower alley

Why would you want to post in a place that is so awful and below your usual standards?

Bernie is a very nice horse

He is potentially a great horse. Albertrani is doing a beautiful job of managing him. He didn't take the bait and run him in the Belmont, a race that is basically obsolete. Alex never ran again after winning it last year. It was Smarty's demise. Empire Maker ran once....Jim Dandy? Funny Cide has had one Grade 1 win in the last three years. It's only significance now is for a horse going for the TC or some plodder to pick up 600K, ie, Sarava, or that Lukas slug in 2000.

That last almost great horse to run was Point Given. The rigors of dancing every dance got to him. Keep doing the right thing Tom

It is for breeders, but it still is the final leg of the TC. Without a horse going for the TC, don't expect this race to ever get much again.
