By Wednesday night, firefighters in Southern California were gaining ground against the wildfires that had been affecting the area, forcing many horse owners to evacuate with their animals. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection reported the Marek fire was 92% contained with predictions of being fully contained by midnight, and the Sesnon fire was 50% contained. The Los Angeles County Fire Department received notification from the National Weather Service that weather is predicted to remain dry enough to constitute a "Red Flag Warning," which will remain in effect through late Friday.

Weather for BC

Next Friday, sunny, high 75, low 57

Next Saturday, sunny, high 75, low 58.

Huge drop in temperature. Horses should love it.
