What's up with the (!) by West Side Bernie? Swaami angle since the race is in Cali??

As for Juvy turf, you can cross Night Action off that list. He hasnt worked since his win in the Cradle.

I was thinking the same thing, might be that someone from DT is involved with the horse

Round Pen 10-14-2008 07:04 PM

There were 19 entered in The juvie turf. I know this as we have 1 of the 19 entered. they only run 12 I think we should Get in but what do I know.

DinNJ 10-15-2008 10:08 AM

I didn't see Jose Addan on the list for the Juvie. Even with the DQ and the fact that he didn't beat all that much, his move in the stretch was ultra-impressive.

Is he a no-go? I think if he does run he'd be a decent price.

I'm guessing 1 1/16 miles is already pushing the limit for Munnings.

What happened to Azul Leon in his last?

Found out the father on his birth certificate? LOL........ I thought he would win that race, but he did nothing. 2 post didn't help. Should of run better. Probably wants one turn (like pops preferred.) O'neill said he was maybe gunna be better than Stevie Wonderboy. Maybe Stevie going 1 turn.

O'Neill remains high on Azul Leon, winner of the Hollywood Juvenile and Best Pal Stakes - the latter via disqualification - and plans to run both in the Breeders' Cup.

Juve is a tough race. T BAZE adores Midshipman. Street HERO is a bit dopey, but talented(has one of the prime synthetic sires, too.) To answer your question, I haven't heard an excuse yet(just read he still likes the horse's chances.)

AZUL LEON and SILENT VALOR (both by Lion Heart)........With a winning average distance of his offspring at 5.5 furlongs and just one winner from nearly 20 starters at a mile or farther, it is looking as if Lion Heart's offspring have distance limitations. Because he is a nice horse, and Oneil compared him to Stevie Wonderboy, I can't rule Azul Leon out, but he has a lot to prove(as far as going 2 turns.)

Has anyone noticed how ordinary Pletcher's stats have been this year? There have also been alot of "previously trained by Todd Pletcher" lines I have been noticing in the form of late. I think it's very odd, the guy is obviously bright and couldn't do no wrong just until very recently.

Bobby Fischer 10-20-2008 10:01 PM

Bushranger may be fine at 8.5furlongs synthetic over here

10/21 - Square Eddie reminds me a little bit of curlin the way looks and his stride - think he might be over-bet, but he looks solid

As does the M/L favorite :zz: Anybody honestly think a son of Speightstown is going two turns?
