Russell Baze off his mounts after today's 1st??
 

Anyone know why Russell Baze was off his mounts after the 1st today?

He won the first race. Maybe a problem after the finish?


I had him with Leslie Mawing on my lone bet of the day in the 7th at Golden Gate.

Mawing got there for 2nd with the 2nd longest shot on the board, but Russell's announced mount finished next to last with someone else up.

Russell Baze was off his overnight mounts today, too.

Nothing I'm seeing in Bay Area media.

Maybe something was on TVG?

Again, as best I can tell he rode and won the 1st race yesterday but has been off his scheduled mounts since.

Baze, who injured his back while scoring a victory in the first race Saturday, hopes to resume riding Monday. Baze has six scheduled mounts on the Columbus Day card.
