10/8: Belmont (Late P4)

The lull before the Breeders' Cup sets in for the next 10 days, but with a good week of weather forecast in the Northeast, there's plenty of late season turf action to juice up the multis at Belmont...

this is a cool maiden race. pretty nice handicapping race

I am just now getting a chance to review video, I will be looking at Granny Smith's trip to see if she faced any traffic. Lots of interesting angles. Mosaic may be a pretty nice animal, wonder if she actually didn't like the non-firm turf - if so she is above this field. Even a filly like Upper Gulch who showed improvement 1st lasix, or the Elizabeth Gray filly who has that form marring run 2 back from way outside on the delaware chute...

pretty much everything said above played out in the replays

Frankel also gets his alternate entry in. Luzzi rides so probably a pace factor.

There are people on death row that committed less of a crime than Jean Luc Samyn did in the 7th at Belmont.

Shameful to say the least.

Thats why I hate playing his horses Andy. After sh*t like that...Mesa Girl was 2-3 lengths the best in that race today IMO. How the hell owners and trainers continue to give him mounts is beyond me.

Because once you get past 6-8 jocks in NY the truth is the choices are just not that deep. I was at Laurel for the late P4 and as the 7th finished at Belmont this buzz of "who was that again on the 11 " in spanish and english just sort of echoed in the air like the cops lookingfor a serial killer who was thought close by....many more rides like this will get him steady work as a parking lot attendant
