Seems the Jones Boys (Gov. and Larry) may have interest in trying the Pro-Ride after all..

I don't see how that Pro-Ride is going to hold up to the daily racing.

I walked Skylight with Pearse a couple of months ago and it just doesn't feel like it is going to go over well.

I'm surprised they'd consider it still after her Ashland race.. and the fact that they acknowledge she doesn't handle synthetic surfaces very well.

I didnt know that you had racetrack surface expertise. What do you charge for your services? I have a track that needs some work....

These surfaces are mind boggling

Heat may be affecting Pro-Ride

By Brad Free

ARCADIA, Calif. - After an initial round of positive reviews from horsemen, enthusiasm over the newly installed Pro-Ride racing surface at Santa Anita has been tempered.

And the theme is familiar - the synthetic track is a good surface on which to train, but afternoon races are a whole different story. Two days into the Oak Tree meet at Santa Anita, jockey Garrett Gomez said the difference between morning and afternoon is distinct.
