Chris Munce - Jockey Licence [10/11/2008]
On Monday, 3rd November 2008, Chris Munce made initial application to Racing NSW for the issue of a Jockey's licence. Additional information was required to complete the application, which Mr Munce provided on Friday 7th November. Racing NSW has today issued a jockey's licence to Chris Munce which carries, in addition to the standard conditions and responsibilities of a Jockey's licence, additional conditions which are summarised as:-(a) that Jockey Munce make himself available to the Hong Kong Jockey Club with respect to the Steward's inquiry that commenced on Monday, 3rd November 2008, and comply with any commitment given by him in respect to such inquiry or investigation;(b) that Mr Munce comply with any and all conditions or directions issued by or that may be issued by the NSW Corrective Services Department or other relevant disciplinary authority that form part of his custodial sentence for involvement in a "tips-for-bets" arrangement when licensed as a Jockey and riding in Hong Kong in 2006.Failure to comply with these additional conditions will lead to immediate suspension of licence.Chris Munce has acknowledged and agreed in written form to the licence conditions as described.Mr Munce has indicated that he intends to commence riding trackwork at Randwick Racecourse on Tuesday morning, 11th November 2008, to regain his fitness.
