Just saw on TVG Matt Garcia was arrested in the paddock at Del Mar. They took him away in his riding silks.

Man, that's an innovation in racing that is long overdue.

Ya but it should be certain trainers that should be in cuffs and not the jocks

Ok, I found out what happened.

They were just filming the pilot episode for a new horse racing reality series on the Discovery Channel.

We were standing right by the paddock when it happened today.. apparently he was wanted by the Monrovia police for a recent domestic dispute incident..

don't know much other than that.. but it was something to see.

Was he on the horse when it happened?

no.. but that would have been funny

I just read the news release about it and they had agreed to wait until he returned to the jocks room after the 1st race but they were suspicious he was going to try to sneak out so they grabbed him right then and there.
