Women's All Around.....USA!!! USA!!! USA!!!
 

Both of these young women were outstanding tonight. The anthem is playing at 110 AM and 70% of the country sleeps but Nastia Liukin and Shaun Johnson
made us all proud tonight as they finished 1-2 for Gold and Silver in the women's all around.

The balance beam and floor exercise routines by Liukin will be standards for women's american sport for some time to come. Incredible gutsy beautiful performances by both.

Can you believe those 3 mama cows wearing the "Russia" jackets were ever gymnasts?

Nastia is the short version of Anastasia in Russian, from what I understand. Kind of unfortunate for her, since she's a good looking girl.

Truly were and really overcame some judging bias. How did Nastia's beam recieve almost the same score as the chinese girl that had some balance problems. Was glad to see that technical judge finally put her foot down.

What is a fivehead and who has a fivehead? I don't get it....:confused:

The gymnastic girl is getting within range of a sixhead with that dome.....I don't fault her though, they pull and pull on that hair to get them aerodynamic. Did you see all the metal the chinese had in their hair, would have set off metal detectors.......
