Is there anything more bizzare than the scoring system in olympic boxing?

9pm woman's basketball.handball, field hockey, softball, greco-roman wrestling.
10pm archery, badminton, baseball, fencing, table tennis and weightlifting.

.....yes, there is...... me thinking i have a shot to make$$ at del mar and saratoga.

the bouts I've seen, this is totally stupid. guys beating the crap out of each other with no points scored????? this needs redone quick.

ALL events scored by judges should dropped from the olympics.

USA of course unless absolutely no chance to medal, or not in the event. And then it depends on many different things, sometimes including the cute factor....:p

I watched the winter olympics in Canada once while skiing in Banff and staying at a friends home, it was kinda wierd being the only American.

It is kinda judged by judges but there are 5 and three have to all push a button within a second of each other after a clean shot. Totally retarded. You can watch a guy get hit with clean shot after clean shot yet there is no movement in the points. Then other times a guy gets a point for hitting the other guy in the gloves. Drop the freakin headgear and make em fight till one gets KO'ed or quits. I guess that is extreme but this other version is pretty unwatchable.

The judges sit in different areas, too. So only one may have a good angle to see the hit. It's crazy. The rule is that the white part of the glove has to land in the front of the head or body without touching any part of the other person's gloves, arms, etc first. I have no idea how these people can see something that's happening that quick. I've been watching a lot of the boxing on Universal HD, and the problems with the scoring haven't created any controversial winners yet, but it's only a matter of time.
