My Princess Jess

I just keep going back to that beyer # and overall performance she had in the Gaviola. She looked so prefessional. Regardless of the turf being a little wet, Tagg said 2 weeks ago on "Inside Racing"(MSG Network) he was eager to showcase her in the Lake George. I watched this one back in the winter at Gulf, she always making a powerful late kick. All of her races down in florida were very moving and exciting, lots of talent here. She chops this weak bunch down. I know she's short, but she's talented.

She'll have her hands full with the French filly who has been running like 5 class levels above this. . .

I agree, especially with the likely conditions. That being said, MPJ is the only one who can run with the French gal. I only hope PG1985 is out there punching out win bets on Receipt, who he believed should have been an easy winner last time out.

what's interesting about this filly is that in all of her races prior to her last start, she either steadied or had to veer off her course sharply.

What's actually more interesting than incidental trouble comments by the chartmaker is that this filly got much better trips her last two races than the runner up: she was inside, entering in the one path, while Namaste's Wish had to circle horses on the turn, and then came out significantly in the stretch forcing NW to alter course to her inside two back at BEL; then, had an inside trip to Much Obliged's wide trip and basically took advantage of that cement turf course at MTH by moving early and gaining an advantage on MO. And she was all out to just hold on. On a fair course, Much Obliged BURIES HER.

Apparantly race dynamics are not of much interest to you.

My Princess Jess moved extremely prematurely....and was much the best. Much Obliged couldn't beat her without an incident.

EDIT:

Race dynamics are certainly of interest to me. Of course, it's how one interprets the dynamics that really matters.

I choose not to take an obvious premature move at face value. I believe, contrarily, that, under the circumstances, moving early was an advantage.

That's what makes the game interesting.

This looks like a pretty salty race to me. In addition to what's been said about the French filly (only three lengths off Zarkava - the filly that was the runner-up to Pure Clan in the American Oaks was beaten 7 by that same filly), Alwajeeha is also a very nice turf filly who got no set-up in the Sands Point. With the Lukas filly and Zee Zee in here, I would expect her to run a much improved effort today.

Gotta go with the French filly in this spot. I like the fact that we should get a decent price (maybe 3-1, 7/2, wishing) and that she has plenty of non-firm turf experience. Both Aljaweeha and MPJ have some non-firm starts but ran ordinary figures in those races. Also like the jockey for MAC coming over for the ride and not sure if the switch on MPJ to Coa is an upgrade or not. JV stays with Aljaweeha and I believe this one can improve. Should have an honest pace but see a tactical ride coming up in a fairly bunched field.

Hoping MAC fires for her first start in the US................

The one thing that scares me about the French filly is that this race is scheduled to be run over the inner turf course. The very tight turns could prove problematic; it helps that, at most, there will only be six fillies in the race.

A few years ago, I remember a filly from Europe coming in for this race, and she looked like a layover on paper, but did not handle the turns. If the race were being contested over the Mellon course, I'd be more confident about her chances in here.

Ok so much for that analysis...............obviously the horse has never seen a starting gate...............don't think she was good enough anyway......nice job by MPJ............
